Cynthia Hitchens, MBA, BBA, CSPO, CSM, PCM-III

Cynthia Hitchens has over 30 years of work experience in various roles, primarily in product management and leadership positions. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Product Management at Thesis. Prior to that, they worked at Unit4 as the Global Head of Product, Higher Education for four years, where they were responsible for introducing new ideas and innovations to the Product Owner team.

Before joining Unit4, Cynthia worked at Campus Management Corporation for 15 years. During this time, they held several roles including Manager, Product Owners and Business Analysts, Shared Technology Product Manager, Lead Technical Product Manager, Solutions Manager, and Product Analyst. In these roles, they managed and oversaw various aspects of product development, planning, prioritization, and enhancement for student management products and enterprise clients. Cynthia also played a crucial role in implementing Agile methodologies and bridging the gap between development teams and stakeholders.

Earlier in their career, Cynthia gained experience in project management and solution consulting at Career Education Corporation (Edutrek International, Inc.) and MRI Software LLC, respectively. Cynthia was involved in implementing systems, managing implementations, providing consultation, and mentoring junior staff. Cynthia also worked at Compass Retail, Inc. as an Assistant Director, Business Systems, where they supported users and maintained property/asset management software.

Cynthia's career began at Raytheon as an Analyst, where they developed analytical skills and gained experience in the defense industry. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in product management, leadership, Agile methodologies, and driving innovation in the education and software industries.

Cynthia Hitchens holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Augusta State University. Cynthia also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the same institution. In addition, Cynthia has pursued further professional development and holds certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) from Scrum Alliance. Cynthia has also acquired the Pragmatic Marketing Certified – Level III (PMC-III) certification from Pragmatic Marketing.
