Anthea Milnes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Anthea has held leadership positions in marketing, communications, and engagement roles in various organizations. Anthea began their career as a Senior Marketing Manager at Blackwell Publishing in 1993 and later worked as a Sales and Marketing Director at New Internationalist from 2002 to 2004. In 2006, they became the Head of Marketing and Communications at Oxford University: Said Business School. From 2011 to 2015, they served as the Assistant Director of Marketing, Communications, and Development at Cranfield University. Anthea then became the Head of Marketing and Communications at WRAP from 2015 to 2018. Anthea also worked as a freelance journalist for several publications, including The Independent, The Guardian, and Oxford Today, from 2000 to 2015. Anthea recently held the role of Head of Communications and Engagement at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH) from 2018 to 2019. Throughout their career, Anthea has demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental science and research.

Anthea Milnes attended Parkstone Grammar School from 1980 to 1987. Anthea then pursued their higher education at the University of Oxford from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained their BA Hons degree in English and Modern Languages.
