BitGo welcomes Jeff Horowitz as Chief Compliance Officer

Digital asset financial services company BitGo has announced the appointment of Jeff Horowitz as Chief Compliance Officer. In his role, Mr. Horowitz will lead the company’s Compliance and AML activities to ensure the entire company operates to the highest standards of compliance and regulatory requirements. “Jeff brings an extraordinary level of experience and insight that is vital to BitGo’s future growth, helping us gain even greater traction into new markets, expand our product offerings and strengthen our compliance and risk framework,” said BitGo CEO Mike Belshe. “As we move into the new year, we will see greater regulatory clarity for digital assets both here and abroad. Jeff’s knowledge of both traditional financial services and crypto markets will be critically important as we navigate state, federal, and international policies and regulations.” Mr. Horowitz has extensive experience within the compliance space, most recently as CCO for digital currency exchange Coinbase. He has served in senior roles for Pershing, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Salomon Brothers. He is also a former co-chair of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s Anti-Money Laundering Committee, a member of FINRA’s Large Firm Advisory Committee, and the U.S Treasury’s Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group.
