Kristin Taylor

Kristin Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Their most recent role was as the Director of Product Design, Technology Innovation at MBTA, where they started in January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at USAA as the Lead Service Designer from April 2020 to November 2020.

In 2018, Kristin held multiple roles, including Lead Researcher & Service Designer at the City of Austin and User Experience Designer at Mozilla. Kristin also worked as the MakerSpace Director and Workshop Facilitator at the Austin Independent School District from 2013 to 2018.

Before transitioning to the field of design, Kristin had a successful career as a Freelance Web Designer, designing eCommerce websites for small businesses from 2004 to 2018. Kristin also worked as a Studio Artist at Team Studio, specializing in painting and running their own art studio. Additionally, they had an Artist In Residence role at Chashama in 2008.

Throughout their career, Kristin has demonstrated their expertise in design, research, and leadership, making valuable contributions to various organizations.

Kristin Taylor obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts - BFA degree in Painting and Drawing from Brigham Young University in the years 1999 to 2005. Kristin also has additional certifications in Human Centered Service Design from IDEO and UX Certificate from Nielsen Norman Group. In addition, they have a certification as an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM. The specific years of obtaining the additional certifications are not provided.
