Daren Pait, P.E., CFM has a rich and diverse work experience in the field of engineering and environmental consulting. Daren began their career as an Engineering Intern at the North Carolina Department of Transportation in 1999. After that, they worked as an Environmental Engineer at Hayes, Seay, Mattern and Mattern, Inc. from 2000 to 2003. In 2003, they joined Kimley-Horn as a Project Manager/Environmental Engineer, where they specialized in surface water resources. Daren'sresponsibilities included designing and constructing lake retrofits for water quality improvement, stream restoration projects, riparian stormwater wetlands, and watershed management planning. Over the years, Daren played a crucial role in analyzing and modeling over 3,000 acres of urban drainage infrastructure. In 2019, they joined SWCA Environmental Consultants as an Ecological Restoration Engineer, and later became the Director of Engineering in November 2020.

Daren Pait, P.E., CFM obtained a degree in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University in the year 2000. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Floodplain Manager and a Professional Engineer in North Carolina. Daren is also a licensed Professional Engineer in South Carolina and is certified as a Professional Engineer in Virginia.
